What makes the Bunny Patch special?
The frenzy of traditional egg hunts can often be overwhelming for younger children. And, parents with more than one child may find themselves getting pulled in different directions if the egg hunt is divided into age categories.
The Bunny Patch at Lazy Acres provides an enjoyable experience for the entire family. Our scavenger egg hunt gets everyone involved (even dad). It's safer and much more fun than a traditional egg hunt.

New for 2019 - Special Needs Egg Hunt
On Saturday, April 20th from 5:00-7:00 we will offer a special needs egg hunt for our community. While siblings and family members of the individual with special needs may attend, ONLY the child or adult with special needs will be allowed to actively participate in the hunt. At the entrance gate, Lazy Acres will provide an egg carton and the option of 3 different styles of egg hunts. The caretaker of the person with special needs will assist in determining the appropriate level of difficulty.
Option 1: Traffic Jam (EASY)
This egg hunt is specifically designed for children who have wheelchairs or walkers and have a difficult time reaching eggs that are on the ground. At this patch, the eggs will all be placed on cones for easy accessibility, and the child can find 2 of every color egg to return to the Easter Bunny for a prize box.
Option 2: Learning My Colors (EASY)
This egg hunt is designed for children with any type of special need. At this patch, the eggs will be placed all across a flat lawn area, and the children can find 2 of every color egg to return to the Easter Bunny for a prize box.
Option 3: Animal Adventures (More difficult)
This egg hunt is designed for children with any type of special need. For this hunt, the children will go find 6 eggs in the flat lawn area, and then find the other 6 eggs in our animal park area (rough terrain). Once all 12 eggs have been found, they will return their carton to the Easter Bunny for a prize box.
This is the first year we are offering this event. If you have a special needs child and would like to attend this event, please click the sign-up link below so we will know how many prize boxes we need to prepare. We are learning a lot about the special needs community through this process and we welcome any feedback or suggestions on how we can make this event successful and enjoyable for all.
Lazy Acres would like to thank Brandy Sharp and Matilda Jane Clothing
for donating some additional prizes for this event.
Where is the Radio People Golden Egg?
